Florida United Methodist Children’s Home
The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home (FUMCH), located in Enterprise, Florida provides a continuum of highly specialized spiritual, educational, and child welfare services designed to strengthen individual and family life for children who have suffered abuse, neglect, family breakdown, or other conflicts that have made a normal family life impossible. The Home supports children living in its eleven cottages and assists children living in other facilities, in independent living, and in vocational programs and institutions of higher learning.
FUMCH engaged Five Points to develop a web-based system to support its child welfare functions for its residential children’s home. This system contains child welfare business functions including, but not limited to: inquiry, admission, demographics, placement, shelter, clinical, alerts, and discharge. Five Points worked with FUMCH management and staff to define their business processes and system requirements, and to re-engineer processes where necessary to more efficiently support its business through automation.
Five Points customized its Revolve system to meet FUMCH’s specific business needs and developed, tested, implemented, and documented the system in a rapid development environment while working closely with FUMCH managers and staff. Five Points provided technical support during user training and currently hosts the system at its data center, which is a secure facility with disaster recovery and business continuation plans in place.
