PenData

Why PenData?

Because you're already doing it!
If your organization needs to gather information in the field using traditional handwritten forms, PenData is an ideal solution to help move paper-based processes into the digital world. This exciting technology combines the portability and acceptance of traditional pen and paper with a computer's ability to store, share and act upon collected information.

Through the use of a digital handwriting device (writes like a normal pen) on a computer generated form (printed on regular paper), handwritten data is digitally captured and then easily transferred to external systems.

  • The PenData is automatically available for two purposes; the raw data for exporting, and capturing an identical image of the original handwritten document without the need for scanning.
  • The data can be quickly verified for accuracy - handwriting recognition and quality control checks including your business rules are enforced
  • Quality checks can be enhanced using built in validation technology. Once collected, data can be shared with enterprise processes such as accounting, databases and management systems. Handwritten data becomes available via ODBC, XML or CSV.
  • Built in workflow enhances communications, supervisory review and approval processes.
